When you’re looking for a great authorized service center for your BMW, you probably have a lot of questions. The last thing you want is to get stuck with a service center that’s only trying to ‘rake you over the coals.’
You shouldn’t have to be subject to that, but there are far too many service centers throughout the Greater Toronto Area that are looking to maximize their profits by not exactly doing the work they say they’re going to do or charging their clients for work that wasn’t really necessary in the first place.
You may be tempted to just rely on the dealership service center, but there are plenty of reasons why that may not have your best interest at heart (which we’ve covered in the past).
Let’s talk about three qualities of a great auto service center that will truly take care of your BMW, and you.
Quality #1: Cleanliness.
How clean is the facility? How clean is the waiting area and the service bays? It should be a relatively clean facility.
Keep in mind that the service bays may not be exceptionally clean, especially when they have numerous technicians working on a variety of cars at the same time. However, tools should be put away, hoses should be wound up and off to the side, and if you had to, you would feel safe walking into those bays to talk to someone.
Quality #2: They should be personable.
The personnel at the auto service center should be approachable and personable. They should be more than willing to answer questions you have, even if they’re questions they’ve heard a hundred times before.
Any auto service technician who is dismissive of your questions or concerns is someone who may not have your best interest at heart.
Quality #3: They should be knowledgeable.
