What’s one of the things that tends to get put on the back burner, so to speak, during winter when it comes to the cleanliness of your vehicles? Most people would probably admit the interior of their BMW doesn’t look as great as they would like.
You can bring your BMW to a car wash center any time during the winter to have it washed down. This is good to help reduce the road salt that can collect on the finish, thus helping to protect that finish for years to come.
Keeping the interior clean, though, isn’t always as easy as that. You may have personal effects and other items you don’t want people having access to. Here are three tips that can help you keep your BMW’s interior looking pretty good, even through the toughest months of winter.
Tip #1: Remove garbage regularly.
This seems like common sense, but in today’s society, common sense is anything but common. You may have fast food wrappers, a drink, business papers, or other items, including the newspaper, that you bring into your car daily.
If you don’t get into the habit of removing the garbage regularly, you just stuff it in the door, in the consul, or on the floor, it’s going to make it much easier for you to bring in more garbage and not take it out.
Tip #2: Set a one day per week schedule.
Take one day out of your week for just half an hour at a time to go in and take out any garbage that has been left behind. This is a good opportunity for you to also vacuum out your BMW.
Yes, it might be cold, but it shouldn’t take you long if you do this weekly.
Tip #3: Hire someone.
Find somebody you can trust. Maybe your son or daughter, a friend’s son or daughter, or even a professional service. Have them vacuum it out, wipe it down, and keep it looking it’s best.
When you keep the interior of your BMW looking great, through winter and summer, it helps you keep other aspects of it in good shape, too.
